Welcome to Play Pathfinder!

Earlier this year Wigan Borough was awarded £2 million funding as part of a Play Pathfinder Programme to refurbish 28 play areas and promote play across Wigan. Thanks to the government’s Play Pathfinder Programme, Wigan Leisure & Culture Trust’s Play Section will use the money to vastly improve 28 of the Borough’s Play Areas.

The list of areas that are to be refurbished in year one are:

Norley Hall Adventure Playground Under Construction

As well as the redevelopment of the 28 Play Areas The Play Section have created the Playfinder Team.

This team of skilled Playworkers will work across the borough to provide new and exciting play opportunities for the children and young people of the borough.

The main focus of the team will be to work on Pathfinder play areas to deliver play sessions and to gain the views of children and young people in the community through consultation.
